3 Steps to Learning About Housing Developments Accepting Applications


(1) Review a monthly list of current affordable rental housing waitlist openings in San Francisco and beyond. These lists are published monthly by groups outside of the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development. Please note that these lists may not include every opportunity available and some properties may be repeated on the different lists.

(2) Review other current openings known to the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development.

Castro/Upper Market: 2175 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94114 - 18 affordable units renting for $731.00 - $1,013.00 per month. Applicant households must earn no more than 40-50% of Area Median Income for 2014. Applications due 10/31/14; Lottery 11/04/14. Click here to view the full posting.

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is opening the waiting lists for Cameo Apartments from May 9-15, 2014, and for Alexander Residence from May 9-16, 2014.

Parkview Terraces Apartments - The waiting list for studio units at this senior housing development for people 55 years of age and older will be opened indefinitely on April 14, 2014.  Applications may be downloaded from this page, from www.ChinatownCDC.org or picked up in person at 871 Turk Street from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Tenderloin:  129 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102 (Vera Haile Senior Housing) - 90 units of seniors housing for people 62 years of age and older.  Applicant households must earn no more than 50% of Area Median Income for 2014.  Applications available starting 5/20/2014 and due on 6/3/2014 at 5:00 PM.
